This increased suggestibility is used by the Hypnotherapist to induce behaviors that are beneficial to the client. For hypnosis to be effective, the client must agree to be hypnotized. The client should find the change in behavior desirable and seek it out and the client should be clear about the process and want to effect a change in behavior through consciously adhering to instructions for their own benefit.
